Moving to the Low Country

After a combined 80 years in the DC area (50 for Jack and 30 for me) The Trenta’s and Leslie Trenta Designs, Inc. have up and moved to Bluffton, South Carolina. Bluffton is a Lowcountry town in Beaufort County. The town’s original one square mile area, now known as Old Town, is situated on a bluff along the May River offering breathtaking views. Bluffton is known for its “eclectic” Old Town district and natural views of the May River. It has been called “the last true coastal village of the South.”

Since the room is a bit cold, I am adding a black out lining behind the blinds to add some insulation. I have chosen a window treatment fabric and trim that will pull out the brown in the bedding. The client loves it, so it’s a race to get it done by the time the guests come in 4 weeks! After pictures to come . . .

These readymade pillows from Osborne & Little . . . one of my favorite fabric & wallcovering vendors! The company based in London, has released a new range of cushions in 30 versatile designs, providing the perfect accessory for both classic and contemporary interiors. I love the fabric combinations that they have pulled together, which include decorative prints, weaves, embroideries and silks, along with coordinating stripes, checks and textured plains, in key colors from the Osborne & Little fabric line. The palettes offered are calm linen tones, stone and lilac, together with livelier vibrant shades of chartreuse, turquoise and cherry. The pillows are offered in square and rectangular sizes and are down filled, for perfect plumping!
